1st time pergi overseas - when I was still in my mommy's tummy... Thailand

1st time duduk jauh drp family - Matrix UUM - Kolej MARA Kuala Nerang - for 2 weeks only!! I got bored with that place... haha.. It was not what I had in mind... it was like studying in form six minus the school uniform n mommy n daddy around...well the truth is... I got an offer to do AAD Program.

1st time kerja - erm...in standard 3 maybe... helping out a neighbor with kuih raya business.. well it was not really a job coz I voluntarily did it... well it was like 'main masak-masak' hihi... but to my surprise she gave me a simple little gold necklace...

1st time rasa diri gemuk - since....ermm...forever ..

1st time bercinta - in 1998... eh...wait...or was it in 2004? No.. in 2005! ..oh well... it is just complicated...

1st time rasa diri cantik - ermm.. when I was in primary school...used to have a dress that was very lady like..still got the postcard size picture of me wearing that dress... how vain...hahaha

1st time masuk cinema - ermm...before I went to primary school..maybe...with family n frens

1st time admitted in hospital - Not yet... n don't plan to... but used to sleep on the hospital floor for nearly a month while taking care of my late grandma. That was in 2002 after I have just finished my studies. Having had that experience... I discovered the different side of myself...

We were quite frustrated actually coz we planned for a surprise celebration...but unfortunately while we were waiting for the cake to surprise her (DDA) with, she received a cake from En. Razif n Pn. Mai first!

Busy Bee

I had such a hectic and tiring day today. The first half of the day was ok, but after lunch break I had ELP1000 class at 3-4pm then 4-5pm mentor mentee session (MM) followed by HBU 112 class 5-7pm. Huarrggghh...

Too tired to explain the gory details....

Make me think... Am I gonna be this tired on Tuesday for the rest of the semester ?

Oh no...

Tomorrow I'll be going to Shah Alam for a workshop on KoK class. I'll be the only female travelling with three other gentlemen.

That part was no problemo...

But... sleeping alone in a hotel room that has a repo for a 'disturbance'

New Semester

It's the new semester again!!

Arrgggghhh....

Or should I say.... yey!! ??


Well...

The classes for UiTM program has started since Monday this week, and for homegrown program Monday next week will be the first week of classes.

This July-Nov 2008 semester I have nearly 40 new mentees!! That's a lot!!

But.. hey... I am not complaining... I'm just thinking of how in the world I would be able to remember each one of them. Hopefully by the end of the semester I would be able to memorize their names.

This art cafe is very unique indeed! The interior, the lighting, various types of chairs and tables and of course at the moment I'm listening to a female voice singing in a language the I just cannot understand. Spanish? Maybe...

MELTA 2008 Conference

Mdm Nazdatun n I attended a 2-day conference at Palace of the Golden Horses starting from 30th - 31st May 2008. We had quite an experience attending workshops n listening to other participants/presenters presenting their works n research findings. But, the best part was definately the food! Yummy... :P

Health - Important Tips:

Answer the phone by LEFT ear
Do not drink coffee more than TWICE a day
Do not take pills with COOL water
Do not have HUGE meals after 5pm Reduce the amount of OILY food you consume
Drink more WATER in the morning, less at night
Keep your distance from hand phone CHARGERS
Do not use headphones/earphone for LONG period of time
Best sleeping time is from 10pm at night to 6am in the morning
Do not lie down immediately after taking medicine before sleeping
When battery is down to the LAST grid/bar, do not answer the phone as the radiation is 1000 times

Summer Break

Summer break?

Well... If the college is still doing the AAD program, today would be the first day of the summer semester.

Students returned to the college today; after quite a short break. As usual, we (the lecturers) were in a blurry mode as to what the students should be doing today. Should they register for their classes? The only academic calender that I have in my office stated that today is the pre-registration day. Owhh... ok .. so since they did the pre-reg before the final exam, they (the students) got nothing to do lah today, or so I thought.

Not knowing that today, there will be a session with our beloved Director; we (the English lecturers) decided that today would be the perfect day to start a workshop on MUET!

Lesson learned: Get your facts straight. Plan ahead!

3 Year-Old

I started this blog on February 1st 2005. (Whoaaah...has it really been that long?)

The PIP gang would be graduting soon. They were the group of students whom I started this blog with. Though only 3-5 survived (the 3yrs diploma prog), I would say that I am happy for them. It's not easy to survive college life with a very minimum academic requirements.

Looking at their photos just now, here only 3 or 4 of them I've seen around for their final semester. The rest ? They must have been scattered all over the country either they'd be working or studying.

I had a very colourful experience teaching them. I still remembered one of the boys was very rude to me. Though for him it was just a joke but I think that just not how you behave in a classroom. Anyway, he was a nice boy, he did email me several times after he dropped out of the college.

Well... just a little walking down the memory lane entry....

To all of them...all the best with the real world out there. You better be prepared!

My last post was way back in September!!

Well... It's not like I've been insanely busy with my job, it just that I've been frequenting my other blogs. Yes, it's plural - blogS. Actually, I have few other blogs that I keep...well different blog for different people... Like this blog... is only for you guys n gals... my dear students... hehe...

No personal juicy stuff I would reveal here... haha.. As if I have any right?

Anyway...

This semester, my ENG 142 students will have to do their online journal assignment using this blogspot... Hope all of you will enjoy doing this assignment... (Yeahh rite.. I can see some of u making funny faces) Oh... come on... writing is interesting.... it's therapeutic!! Try it! Soon enough you will find that you are addicted to it....
